Discussion: This unit was found underlaying the thick make-up layer (U.20060) and partially white plaster layer (U.20063). Distinguishable by its sandy texture, more soft consistency of soil and different - dark brown colour.
It was observed that the thickness of this unit was highly variable (2-6 cm). It was especially thick towards the wooden threshold connecting space 135 with 373.
It seems to be possible that the higher southern part of this layer had been used to raise the heigh of this part of floor in order to straighten out different floor levels beetween space 135 & 373.
It was speculated that this sandy layer may have been kind of base layer for proper thick and compact make-up one.
