Discussion: This is a small pit cut- about the size and shape or a post retrieval pit, but the lack of architectural features at this level does not lend much support to this idea. The bottom of the cut is identifiable by the appearance of a dark reddish-brown clay loam that fades into the section of the cut. The cut slopes out to the south, which may suggest the widely identifiable of the fill u. 20229, which we hypothesize is due to wind-erosion processes.
