Discussion: This cut was initially seen as a semicircle of grey fill in plan, in contrast to the homogeneous clay makeup around it. In section, we were able to see the difference between the fill and the preexisting matrix by following the apparent lines of floor plaster to come. Past 5 cm in depth, however, this marker disappeared and the platform's makeup was the same in appearance as the fill we were removing. Determining the clarity of this cut was additionally difficult since the skeleton within (u. 20850) was laid almost directly on the foot of a skeleton (u. 20853) from an earlier burial yet to be freed stratigraphically.
