Discussion: This unit represents a layer of makeup lipping up to platform f. 3507, varying in thickness (thickest to immediate south of platform f. 3507, thinner toward S end of unit). The unit contained no finds, consistent with other layers of floor and makeup in this space. U. 20877 was removed by leaf trowel and brush, and underneath revealed a patchy layer of floor plaster that was clearest on the W half of the space, and patchiest near the post retrieval pit that cuts platform f. 3507. There, in fact, we only came down on antoher layer of makeup and the next floor plaster layer after the one revealed in the W half of the space. The later plaster layer is only preserved in a small patch on the E side of the burial cuts in platform f. 3508. This should be the first layer to be excavated in 2015.
