Unit 20885
Category: Layer dug in 2015
Area: South
Interpretive Categories: plastered floor
Data Category Information: Location: building; Description: general; Material: mix (dark grey&white); Deposition: composite (floors/bedding/plaster/packing/occupation); Basal Spit: unpainted
Discussion: The unit was recognized as two layers of badly preserved white plastered floors, found in N and E part of the space 444 the floors seem to be missing in central, S and W (except NW corner) part of the space. However no clear cut was recognized the W edge of the unit is was sloping towards E and disappearing gradually, similarly the floor was visible in N part of the space however it seemed to diffuse towards center of the space (first the floor itself and then the makeup). In some places it was clear that the floor was composed of two layers however due to its heavy disturbance and patchy character both layers were excavated as one unit. In the north the floor was lipping up in what seems to be the walls of two bins (after cleaning only the very bottom part of them was visible as two arches of different material –see photos).
