Discussion: This is a slightly badly defined burial cut of F.3697. The basal surface of the cut may have been lined with very fine orange clay. Another interpretation of this deposit is that it belongs to the organic refuse of Sk.20683.

We strongly believe that Sk.20684 which is only a cranium without a mandible was placed within this cut. The western boundary of the cut is poorly defined. An accumulation of salt specs across the sides of this cut aided our interpretation of the cut and hence our inclusion of skeleton 20684 to the burial feature in general.
