Discussion: Rectangular cut in platform 3695, at it central-western edge, next to kerb 3693 (which forms the western "side" of the cut).
When arbitrary layer 20615 was entirely removed on the top of the platform 3695, a depression appears clearly on the central-western edge of the platform. What we thought at first to be a depression due to erosion since the last excavation of this space in 2005 (this part of F 3695 was very affected by the burning of building 52) was in fact a cut (clear and rectangular) in the red painted plaster of layer 20615.
The bottom of the cut lays very cleanly in layer 3057. The pilaster was thus respectfull of this surface and its construction more recent than this moment of use of the platform.

Base Break: sharp 

Base: Plaster of layer 30507. Irregular due to cracks…
