Interpretive Categories: Arbitrary layer of roomfill 

Data Category Information: Location: building; Deposition: heterogeneous

Discussion: After cleaning of wall F 3676 (exposed in 2012) it became apparent that what was thought to be its bottom layers was in fact the inbetween of the roomfill it was built upon, probably same as U20485 (the top of U21127) and U 19583 the bottom. It was excavated with mattock and trowel. 

Consistency: Compact, more friable in the middle layer 

Colour: Orangish gray, dark gray in the middle layer 

Texture: Clay, sandy clay in the middle layer 

Bedding: Layers 

Inclusions: Chalk and charcoal inclusions, especially in the bottom layer 

Post-depositional Features: Animal burrow 

Basal Boundary: Arbitrary
