Description: The mortar is quite homogeneous and the layers' thickness is quite constant, ranging around 0.06 and 0.08 m.
Discussion: The mortar lines between the bricks of wall F.7558 are quite homogeneous within the wall.
In the mortar several animal bones and bone fragments have been found. At least a couple of exemplars may be identified as bird bones because of their cave core.
Excavated by mattock and trowel.
Since wall F. 218 was equated with F. 7558, this unit should be considered as equal to the mortar unit 3052, which was allocated to F. 218. Any consideration of the plans/samples/finds of one should take into equal account the documentation of the other. AJM 12/07/2015.
