Discussion: The U21515, bricks of foundation wall F7613 were visibly reused, which distinguished them from overlying Wall F3677. Most of them had plaster on either side of the brick. They were also put in irregular courses both horizontally (the empty spaces were filled with the mortar) and vertically as some bricks were not directly on top of the previous course and wall was forming numerous ledges and steps. There were at least two types of brick present in the wall, yellow ones (most of them) and more sandy and orangish (2 or3 bricks of this type.) There were also half bricks present in the wall. As the wall were built on a slope the amount of brick courses decreases towards S (from 8 in N to 2 in S). The courses of the bricks seemed to be sloping down from both ends of the wall towards its middle suggesting that it was erected on unstable ground.

Colour: light yellow, white plaster, orangish yellow 

Texture: silty clay, sandy clay 

Bedding: massive
