Discussion: 21645 is the topmost layer of the midden in space 490. The unit below is a charcoal layer in the midden. We excavated this unit using trowels and brushes. We believe that this unit was formed from dumping events from the two adjacent buildings (or more).

Colour: brownish grey
Texture: sandy silt
Bedding: compound layered
Inclusions: fragments of bone 3-4%, pieces of mortar and mudbrick 5%, charcoal
Post-depositional Features: Animal burrowing
Basal Boundary: change in accumulated deposition, very sharp, distinct concave North-South
