Unit 21725
Category: Cut dug in 2014
Area: South
Interpretive Categories: cut of moulded pit next to the hearth
Data Category Information: Description: pit
Discussion: Unit 21725 is a cut of moulded pit found next to the hearth F.7402 on its west side.
This ovoid and shallow (aprox. 8 cm) cut was filled by massive layer of fill (U.21724).
The limits od the cut were clearly distinguishable especially in the upper part, ehere unit cut plaster layer from sunken floor (U.21722).
It is likely both cut and related fill layer may be remnants of some hearth construction - like a grill of some fire grate.
