Discussion: Unit 21724 is a fill of moulded pit found next to the hearth F.7402 on its west side. This very soft and loose layer was very distinctive because of its contrasting dark brown colour and mentioned consistency if soil.
This unit was cut in firm layer defined as sunken floor (U.21722). It is likely this fill and cut are remnants of some hearth construction - like a grill or fire grate.
