Unit 22035
Category: Layer dug in 2014
Area: North
Interpretive Categories: infill in open space
Data Category Information: Location: between walls; Deposition: heterogeneous
Description: the infill placed between the walls (N) F.7301 and (S) F.3679) that constitute the limits of sp.518
Discussion: The infill (U.22035) was placed between the walls F.3679 (from the South), F.7301 (from the north) and F.7346 (from the West). Taking into consideration the fact that eastern limit of the unit was arbitrarily established by the section line (beyond which similar infill was excavated in 2013 as U.30137), one may state that the original eastern limit of these two unit numbers (U.22035, 30137) must have been set on the wall F.7149. All of the mentioned walls constitute the extension of Sp.518.
The interior (Sp.518) must be regarded as a stratigraphical entity, located between B.77 and Sp.511. However, it seems that the space 518 was at some point an open / unroofed area, within which some activities must have taken place (see description of the U.22032).
The deposit of U.22035 was compound one. It consisted of small components including tiny lenses of clay, immersed in mid-brown sandy-silt, silty-sand. The exploration of the layer was conducted in order to find a base of the southern wall of B.77 (F.7301). Taking into consideration the fact that this goal was accomplished, further excavation was ceased arbitrarily. However, the deposit (U. 30148) which surface had been exposed in course of the execution of U.22035 must be treated as the same as the subsequently described one, from stratigraphical as well as from contextual point of view.

Finds Room Information:
All material from site passes through the finds room for washing and separating before it is passed onto the various lab teams. The finds room keeps a basic inventory of what is found. A finds material type list is given here. Further analytical detail maybe provided by the Lab Team data below.
