Unit 22198
Category: Layer dug in 2016
Area: North
Interpretive Categories: make-up layer
Data Category Information: In Situ: in situ; Location: building; Deposition: homogeneous
Discussion: 22198 is located in the south-eastern side of platform 3811: it has an oval shape (107 x 32 cm; 1 cm thick), a red-orangeish colour and a firm consistency.
As a consequence of the erosion, 22198 was the first layer that appeared in this part of the platform after its cleaning at the beginning of this year campaign. It is the upper one of a group of layers (see unit sketch: 2, 4: non excavated yet) that have a red-orangish colour in common, but that have been distinguished because of different consistences. They all probably were make-up layers related to the construction of the upper white plastered floor 22191 of platform F 3811 .
22198 covers the upper infill (22199) of burial F 3810 and is cut by burial F 3808.
