Area: North

Interpretive Categories: Grave fill

Data Category Information: none

Dimensions: 145cm x 47cm (depth 24cm)

Discussion: This unit was burial fill of an E-W oriented (head on west) burial. The cut was visible from the unit above and seems to extend into unit 2213. Several pieces of pottery of different time periods included, in fill, one rim and several possible diagnostic pieces.
The grave had been severely disturbed by roots and probably by rodents as well, although burrows were not immediately apparent. The torso of the skeleton in the fill had been distrubed to the point that the ribs of the skeleton were sticking in the pits section, 1/2 in and 1/2 out of the grave. No grave goods were found in the fill.
