Dimensions: 215cm x 60cm 

Discussion: This is a rectangular pit with an east-west orientation. The burial cut (unit 2234) is inside of this cut, with roughly the same shape but slightly smaller. It's unclear what the purpose of this cut was. The fill from the burial cut was similar to the fill form this cut although the burial fill was slightly looser. It's likely that the two cuts were not separated by a long period of the time. It seems this cut was removed then filled in, and then the burial cut was taken from within the fill of this cut. It's possible that there is another burial beneath 2234 that is associated with this pit. The loose dirt at the bottom of 2234 supports this possibility.
