Discussion: This is the highly scorched makeup layer of the central clean floor area of B. 131. It contains large chunks of rubble that were constantly being kicked up by foot traffic once this layer was exposed in 2015. A fragment of human cranium eroded out and was collected. The layer was not excavated in 2015, but 12 samples were taken by Marco Madella and Carla Lancelotti as part of the phytolith grid sampled when the latest phase of the building was exposed (from areas where the final plastering event u. 22642 was not preserved).
