Unit 2388
Category: layer dug in 1997
Area: South
Interpretive Categories: erosion,floors
Data Category Information: Description: 60's
Dimensions: 1.44m N-S x 0.68m E-W x somm thick
Discussion: An area of plaster frags of laminated applications and bricky material, peeled off in platelets which could be the result of heavy rain at beginning of the season and subsequent drying. On the other hand the deposit was fairly loose with a lot of plaster which suggest its post Mellaart collapse or remnants of plaster he may have excavated from walls and or platform to the west. Underlying deposit is heavily scorched which is more in keeping with the general surface of the associated F.I 82.
This deposit is more likely to represent post Mellaart excavation collapse a erosion and not sampled
Execution: leaf trowel

Texture: silty clay
Bedding: massive
Inclusions: 40% >4cm laminated plaster frags (floor or wall?)
