Dimensions: 0.30 m wide; 0.18 m long, 0.2 m thick 

Discussion: This mixed deposit is the grave fill of cut 2507, for skeleton 2141. Its western extent was not entirely clear, but subsequent inhumation cuts must have removed most of this interface. 

Execution: trowel, hand shovel, small tools 

Condition: warm, dry and windy 

Consistency: weak 

Colour: variable, but mostly a 10yr 4/2 dark greyish brown when damp, with mottles of darker grey material 

Texture: sandy silty loam 

Bedding: massive, no internal structure visible. 

Inclusions: mudbrick frags. (occasional, scattered, <10 mm <2%), moderate to frequent scattered charcal lumps and flecks (<10mm <15%), occasional frags./crushed mortar/plaster (<2%) 

Post-depositional Features: some fine rootlet penetration. Truncated to north and south by later inhumations 

Basal Boundary: lower interface is flat and reasonably distinct (5-10mm)
