Discussion: Grave cut for skeleton 2529 - cut into one of the foundation layers. This is the only really unambiguous example of a grave cut amongst all the 'foundation' burials (gml 15.9.97) 

Execution: leaf, trowel, dental pick, brush 

Condition: warm 

Shape: ovoid but irregular - scoops at S 

Sides: vertical top 1 in 3 then slopesin wards slightly / gradually to base 

Base Break: gentle / curving 

Base: appears to be toughtly flat but removal of very fragile bones made the base uncertain 

Orientation: roughly N/S (NNW/SSE)
