Discussion: Uppermost surviving course of brick in wall F 2, bonded by 2566.
Individual brick sizes difficult to determine as only courses rather than individual bricks were really visible. 

 

Recognition: Recognized as distinct part of wall. 

Definition: Edges; clear brakes between walls and layers within rooms. 

Execution: Hand pick and trowel. Samples first, then composite (bricks and bonding). 

Condition: Dry 

Consistency: Firm 

Colour: Light greyish brown. 

Texture: Sandy clay 

Bedding: Massive 

Inclusions: Occasionally flicks of charcoal/plaster/organic impressions 

Post-depositional Features: Animal and insect disturbation. 

Basal Boundary: Slopping downwards from north and south into centre gently regular.
