Discussion: Small patch of surviving F.I floor, surface smooth and even it would appear that most of this was raked out in antiquity, fragments survived to the north but was removed by constant cleaning a brushing, however it was not all present where sealed by 2742. The northern extent of this was also probably exposed by Mellaart

Consistency: moderately firm 

Colour: surface 10 YR 7/4 very pale brown; back 10 YR 3/1 very dark grey 

Texture: sandy clay 

Bedding: massive 

Inclusions: 1% <3 mm charcoal 

Post-depositional Features: appears to have been mostly removed in antiquity, possibly as a raking out event 

Basal Boundary: slices off easily as a crust as a result offire or heat peremation however the deposit is the same event as underlying unit
