Discussion: Multi-layered white plaster floor in E end of Space 87. This floor has been cut in 2002 to retrieve the burials under it. This layer belongs to a platform that extended N-S, reaching the E and S walls, platform F.7114 in the W, and U.30109 in the N. The platform F.7114 is a later feature.
The thickness of this unit varies between 1.5 and 6cm, this representing several re-plastering and possibly floor levelling episodes. The top of this unit, having been exposed since 2002, is largely eroded. The layer decreases in thickness N-S, the maximum thickness being encountered in the SE corner of the unit.
Remains of red paint, very similar to the one found on the S wall were uncovered at the edge of the platform lip running N-S and also embedded within the floor plaster. These could not be exposed due to their fragmentary condition.
