Unit 30235
Category: Cut dug in 2013
Area: TPC
Interpretive Categories: Pit cut
Data Category Information: Description: pit
Discussion: The cut is very round (with the exception of erosion in the southern end of the cut). Much like many of the other cuts in this trench, we don’t really know what these pit cuts were used for as the lack obvious signs of storage or burning. The cut was distinguished from the other unit due to its orange soil color at the basal boundary. The cut is similar to other cuts in the area-- it's shallow and has a similar round shape.
Shape: circular
Sides: straight
Base Break: 90 degree right angle, sloped or eroded toward South
Base: flat
Orientation: N/A
