Interpretive Categories: layer of compact clay 

 

Data Category Information: Deposition: homogeneous

 

Discussion: It was a layer of compact clay in Se corner of trench 4.
It was clearly visible on the surface after removing upper layer U.30445. Below this layer there were other features clearly visible, so it was probably soil which was removed from the upper part of the mound during the process of erosion. 

 

Consistency: firm 

Colour: white 

Texture: clay 

Bedding: massive 

Inclusions: bricks, charcoals 

Post-depositional Features: rodent 

Basal Boundary: visible by the other colour and consistency of the layer below.
