Unit 30529

Category: Layer    dug in 2013

Area: North

Interpretive Categories: plaster on the bench

Data Category Information: In Situ: in situ; Location: feature; Description: bench; Material: plaster; Deposition: homogeneous; Basal Spit: unpainted

Discussion: Fine layer of plaster preserved in the E part of the bench covering S side, the E end the top of the bench F7118. It forms a smooth surface at the E but gets more irregular and patchy towards the W. At the W end of the bench it is preserved only in a narrow fragment above the floor and eventually disappears completely. I seems to be contemporary or earlier than the floor layers exposed S of it. We are not sure whatever it is the same as the plaster layers found at the N edge of the platform F2177 from which some (U20672 and U20673) are thought to belong to the bench.

Not excavated in 2013.

Addition after excavation in 2014
