Discussion: Grey floor (2-3 mm thickness) and light brown clay packing under it. No inclusions or finds were encountered. The unit is very bioturbated at parts due to animal burrows.
The original idea was to excavate all the grey floors and their make-up sequence as one unit but, due to the complexity of the constructional/re-modelling episodes seen under the floors, with a layer of white plaster, 2 units of infill and more grey floors (to be excavated next year), this unit comprises only one floor and one make-up layer. 

 

Consistency: Soft 

Colour: Light greyish brown (floor) and orangish brown (make-up) 

Texture: Clay (floors) and clayish silt (make-up) 

Bedding: Compound layered 

Inclusions: None 

Post-depositional Features: Bioturbation (burrows) 

Basal Boundary: Constructed, sharp
