Unit 30727
Category: Cut dug in 2013
Area: TPC
Interpretive Categories: Pit cut
Data Category Information: Description: pit
Discussion: The circular cut was cut into by f.3985 which was in turn cut into by f.3950. The purpose of this cut is unknown, although its circular shape is very similar to several others in the area. The circular shape of the cut may indicate that it was used as a storage space for a large vessel. However, some of the larger cuts similar to this one may have been too big to hold any reasonable vessel. The fill contained pottery sherds and bones and was excavated using trowel and brush.
Shape: half-circle, extends beyond west edge of trench
Sides: straight
Base Break: right angle
Base: flat
Orientation: N/A
