Unit 30942
Category: Cut dug in 2014
Area: South
Interpretive Categories: Posthole Cut
Data Category Information: Description: posthole
Discussion: The cut has a slightly rounded but square and sharp top cut with straight and mostly smooth sides. It tapers off towards the bottom and becomes narrower and narrower into the middle until it comes to a point. This supports the idea of this hole being a posthole as the post would have been round, but come to a point at the end. The slope of the cut becomes more gradual and less steep towards the bottom.
