Discussion: Unit 31204 is part of wall f3310, which is in the northern part of b105, south of wall f5051 and east of buttres f5061. Due to the lack of time, the unit was not excavated. The unit is thought to be one of two walls on top of wall f3380. The bottom levels were taken at the suspected boundary of f3380. However, the depth of the unit is uncertain.

Unit 31205 is the mortar layer of f3310. 

 

Consistency: soft 

Colour: dark grey 

Texture: silty clay 

Bedding: layered 

Inclusions: small stones, clay pieces 

Post-depositional Features: erosion, burrows, roots 

Basal Boundary: flat, f3380
