Discussion: Discontinued, irregular plastered floor layer had been recognized to the North of the Hearth F.7871 and Bin F.7867 that were evidenced in the Southern segment of Sp.531. The East-Northern limit of the unit constituted distinctively protruded slope of Bench F.7879. Further toward the west an extent of the unit respected the E-W alignment of the kerb-like which divides the southern part of the room from the central one. During the exploration it appeared that the plaster constituted the earliest white-coating of the circular rim (U.32021) walling the Bin F.7867. Simultaneously, the plaster covered the one of the earliest rim (U.32064) of the Hearth F. 7871. Hence the unit 32068 forms a significant stratygraphical link between the furniture recognized in southern segment of the room.
In order to better understand the activities that took place on the surface of the floor there were several samples collected within the GRID division. The latter strategy implements a change in the method of exploration which mainly focuses on sampling process that bears consequences in collecting two samples from each of 1m x 1m square. One of the sample is taken specifically for Phytolith analyzes. For that purpose we decided to enumerate the botanical samples using ODD digit numbers (e.g. 1, 3, 5). All of the rest part of the explored sediment within squared meter had be taken as flotation sample, enumerated conventionally by EVEN digit number (e.g. 2, 4, 6). The excavation of the layer as well as assigning the subsequent numbers of samples stared from the East.

Finds Room Information:

All material from site passes through the finds room for washing and separating before it is passed onto the various lab teams. The finds room keeps a basic inventory of what is found. A finds material type list is given here. Further analytical detail maybe provided by the Lab Team data below.

X Finds Material: nothing recorded

Finds Material Stored: nothing recorded
