Discussion: Plaster on wall 7707, consisting of 20-30 replasterings, some but not all of which have a thin clay preparation layer. Extends inside niche 7986, and has partially collapsed within this feature (from ceiling of niche), but . This plaster exlends to plaster post installation 7971 in the east & to the intersection with wall 7708 in the west were the relationship with this wall is unclear because of burrowing & other truncations.

Partially collapsed with wall 7707 during excavation of niche, so sample contains earlier plaster & some of wall. 

Consistency: Firm 

Colour: Light greyish white 

Texture: marl plaster with silty clay make up 

Bedding: layered 

Inclusions: Moderate silt (4-5%) 

Post-depositional Features: animal and plant activity 

Basal Boundary: sharp but difficult to follow due to the condition of the plaster(s)
