Data Category Information: Location: feature; Description: raised area (platform); Material: mix (dark grey&white)

Description: A composite deposit comprised of a truncated plaster surface c. 2.00m x 0.20m x 0.01 worn away along western edge and the formation deposit for this surface c. 2.00m x 0.50m x 0.02m. The palster was a fine, white grey marl plaster, the formation a friable silt caly with frequent irregular, angular medium sizaed(c. 50mm x 30mm) fragments of fired clay. Basal boundary irregular in that the lower deposit 32520 had itself eroded away in patches, notably to the east of the Platform F7952, exposing its own formation layer. The interface between these two rubble layers was uneven and to some extent arbitrary, being extrapolated from the more certain basal boundary with the plaster surface of 32520.

Discussion: Late surface of Platform F.7952. The irregular basal boundary, and the slope towards wall F7712 at the east of Platform F7952, may suggest that 32518 may have been a re-surfacing of the platform to mitigate erosion.
