Dimensions: 1.24 m E-W x 0.66 m N-S x 1.6 mm depth 

 

Discussion: Uneven floor which laps up the side of platform in SE corner of space 117, building 2. Partly worn away to underlying deposits in places. Varies between 1 mm and 60 mm in thickness, with the beige bits very uneven with at least two depressions (?) being curved and its surface levelled to some extent.

* Obsidian fragment x-find has been taken for scientific analysis and should not be handled or washed. It is a square flake and requires analysis for possible wood-cutting residue. 

 

Recognition: Area of distinct beige floor deposit around N+W edge of platform in SE corner of space 117. 

Definition: Clear basal boundary with lower darker deposits. 

Execution: Trowel, from edges, E and S. 

Condition: Dry. 

Consistency: firm 

Colour: 2.5 Y 7/3 pale yellow 

Texture: silt loam 

Bedding: massive 

Inclusions: 1% obsidian, 1% shell, 1% small hard white plaster? fragments 

Post-depositional Features: occasional salts, beeing abundant in places at base of unit 

Basal Boundary: clear/wavy/anthropogenic/sloping down slightly to the W
