Unit 3921
Category: Cut dug in 1998
Area: South
Interpretive Categories: oven demolition cut?
Data Category Information: Description: oven
Dimensions: 0.08 x 0.05 x 0.04
Discussion: (3921) represents what was visible of a cut running beneath baulks to the N and E in the centre of space 117. It is difficult to interpret from the tiny portion of it that was visible but it could represent some sort of demolition cut for F.269, the oven to its SE. Further interpretation must await baulk removal!
Recognition: A distinct cut surface beneath a small oven of unit (3912).
Definition: See A.
Shape: roughly triangular with a slight curve to the N edge in plan
Sides: smooth evenly sloped sides (c.45 degrees)
Base Break: difficult to assess break of slope as this was cut in 1997
Base: none of the base was visible as it was cut in 1997
Orientation: E-W
