This floor layer has a cut (4024) in the E part of the excavated area, so was not further excavated, as it is too late in the season. 

Recognition: Looks like a plaster floor, ie colour/texture. 

Definition: Defined by pit edge, running section, cut (4024) and the floor itself. 

Execution: Not excavated. 

Condition: Slightly moist. 

Consistency: compact 

Colour: 10 YR 7/2 light grey 

Texture: ashy clay 

Bedding: massive 

Inclusions: ligther plaster, odd reddish patch
