Discussion: layer of plaster rendering over the west face of wall f66 in space 117. Originally covered whole wall to a thickness of up to 1.5 cm. Only some had become detached prior to controlled removal . The plaster consists of numerous microscopic layers each representing a separate coating. Paint wa noticed on some of the layers. The removal of plaster revealed a painted surface 4223 which was followed to reveal a red painted geometric pattern (initial sketch unit shhet). This was further cleaned by the conservator.
