Discussion: Not sure what this unit represents. Could be deliberate backfill of the oven - or could be Mellart backfill. Distinct from overlying material, but could even be 60's trample.
Appears similar to layer 4759 at the top of an adjacent oven.
Recognition: dark grey colour - appeared distinct from Mellart backfill in colour and texture
Definition: well defined - edge v.visible, contrast with edge oven base (4735) below.

Consistency: friable
Colour: mid to dark brownish grey
Texture: silt/clay
