Discussion: Scorched or partially burnt deposit ( dark brown colour ). On north lying against 4746 and overlying stone cluster 4744. This unit has a bowl shaped profile and this and assoc. units will probably turn-out to be lying within a cut.
Consistency: friable
Colour: mid to dark brown/mid grey
Texture: clay/silt - very small sand fraction
Bedding: massive
Inclusions: occ. charcoal flecks; - occ. small stone frags.
