Unit description: Flot sample 2800 Also dry sieved A compound layer from the second 'stabling' deposit, very similar to 4821, but with a larger fragment size. The bones are light to medium dark brown and are largely long bone fragments. There are no polished fragments as in 4821/4819, but there are some very clean bones. 03 and 07 size taxa are preent. Only a few bones are identifiable to taxa, but they include cattle, sheep/goat and human. Three, 4mm, flotation samples (2, 3 and 5) were studied at a later date and had only the diagnostics recorded. Most of the bone in these samples was highly fragmented bone of sheep sized animals, with little burnt bone and minimal weathering. Sample number 3 contained a shed dp3 supporting the interpretation of the unit as a stabling deposit. Last number = F.40Figurine Records: No GroundStone Records: No Heavy Residue Records: No Microfaunal Records: No
