Unit description: A small unit, entirely out of flotation (sample 28, flot no 3035, sample 29, flot no. 3043, sample 30, flot no. 3023, all >4mm, 100%). A mix of very fresh and rather weathered fragments. Much of it quite fresh. Fragment size generally small in samples 28 and 29, with one tooth at 3 cm and one at 4 cm but the rest smaller. But several larger pieces in sample 30, which is also more weathered than the other two samples. Some bits burnt, mostly at low temperatures. in sample 30, most of an articulated paw, probably from a badger. Also a 2nd and a 3rd phalanx of a small 014, possibly young and probably articulating. A mix of body parts-- all represented. Probably 90-95% sheep-size or smaller animals. 2 pieces digested. Flotation sample 30, 100% sorted was completely recorded at a later date. Only identifiables were recorded and they were limited to teeth. Incisors of an adult caprine, probably came from one individual and incisors and one premolar of a juvenile, possibly also from one individual. The flot fragment tended to be small in size, heavily worked over but not displaying any significant signs of carnivore activity. Some of the material is burnt to low temperatures and even less had been heated to a higher temperature. Last number = 104Figurine Records: Yes
