Discussion: Fill in east part of space 202, similar to 5391. In practice this unit includes some scraping up to the edge of oven/hearth F.828 some 0.4m further west. 

 

Recognition: orange bricky fill similar to 5391 but more compact. Different from less orange fill 5394 which contained less plaster 

Definition: as above 

Execution: trowel 

Condition: dry 

Consistency: firm 

Colour: orange brown and grey 

Texture: ashy silty loam and sandy clay loam brick frag (60% mudbrick frag, some burnt) 

Bedding: massive 

Inclusions: occa charcoal 

Post-depositional Features: roots and animal burrows 

Basal Boundary: clear, undulating
