Recognition: different texture of soil than the lid above 

Definition: clearly defined 

Execution: trowel, brush 

Condition: easy to remove, loose 

Consistency: loose 

Colour: black mostly and dark brown 

Texture: ashy, middeny layer on top and then clayish soil 

Bedding: compound layered; flat; ashy and clay lenses (~5cm) 

Inclusions: The first layer of midden had different size of charcoal, plant remains, bone, teeth, shell. The second layer had small charcoal, salt, wood, organic staining, compaction below the burial lid. 

Post-depositional Features: n/a 

Basal Boundary: arbitrary unit, diffuse, faint comparing to clayish layer above.
