Unit 6534
Category: layer dug in 2000
Area: Trench I
Interpretive Categories: Bin fill
Data Category Information: Location: feature; Description: bin; Deposition: homogeneous; Basal Spit: basal deposit
Dimensions: 0.8m EW x 0.8m NS x 0.2m deep
Discussion: This fill seemed quite rich in organic material. There were also chunks of the yellow clayish-mortarish stuff within it everywhere. It came out quite sharply at the base of the bin but there was no plaster floor underneath - just a small area at the north side of the bin. The pieces of small red coloured plaster coming up shows that there must have ben some painted feature near, but no sign of that has come yet.
Recognition: Recognýsed as bin fill underneath 6524 by the difference between the two soils - this fill has lumps of yellowish clay in it - also lots of charcoal. It is bordered by walls, grave cut and brown lining
