Discussion: Room fill, Space 190 (below 6542). Rubbly room fill/collapse. Eastern more trampled and recorded as 6557, possible surface. Unit consists of mixed rubble material. There weren't any internal, regular/fine layers, but there were some regular lenses with plant remains (phytoliths) and lines. Near the north-eastern corner of the space there were some large mudbrick lumps. After they were removed, characteristic soft brown soil was exposed. It was clear that these bricks must have been collapsed wall debris. Pots were relatively few, there was charcoal, obsisian, bone, mudbrick and plaster pieces. It shows mostly the same characteristics as the underlying unit (6570), but was arbitrarily finished and a new unit number taken. Before digging the new unit in the same area (Space 190) the doorway blocking was removed between wall F304 and wall F715 - the entrance between Space 190 and Space 192.

Recognition: Flattish upper surface had strong phytolith/salting separating it from lumpy plaster debris 6542

Definition: Surrounded by walls on three sides (though now decided part on north wall is blocking) and Mellaart section on the south

Execution: Hand pick and trowel

Condition: Hot, dry and sunny

Bedding: Massive, no internal layers, mixed fill material

Inclusions: Pottery, bone, charcoal, obsidian

Post-depositional Features: Roots, animal holes

Basal Boundary: Mostly shares some characteristics with underlying unit; faint, wavy
