Discussion: Finds from this feature also included copper alloy rivet and iron nails - undoubtedly associated with Mellaart's sondage in 1960s. The pottery within this pit was predominantly decorated although few rims were apparent - maybe material that he collected at first then chucked into pit because they were not diagnostic enough.

Consistency: Soft and friable 

Colour: Mid greyish brown 

Texture: Silty clay 

Bedding: Massive
