Discussion: Cut of modern feature - undoubtedly associated with J. Mellaart's sondage in the 1960s. Possibly because so irregular is a natural undulating rather than actual cut. 

Recognition: Recognised as distinct from surrounding area because of significant concentration of Early Chalcolithic pottery associated with feature
