Arbitrary 10 cm spit taken to level off area of trench to help define further archaeological features. Full of disturbed material and matrix may represent upcast from earlier grave (byzantine disturbance).
Recognition: Arbitrary spit taken off after 6599 was removed and cleaned
Definition: Defined as layer that is slightly higher than surrounding area - neede to be removed to level area

Consistency: Medium hard but also soft and loose in places
Colour: Light brownish orange
Texture: Sandy silt
Bedding: Massive
Inclusions: Large quantities of pottery including fragments with anthropomorhpic motif (hand), big pieces of pot, obsidian, bone, iron, also large chunks of Byzantine plaster, chunks of mudbrick and chalcolithic plaster and quantities of Byzantine tile - ca 3 %
