Dimensions: 1,40m x 1,10m x 0,05m
Discussion: Plaster floor which was revealed in the 2001 excavations. Most definitely a late feature and cannot be associated with any other features such as survivýng walls - its just remnant. Overlies room fill buildup/deliberate infilling (7297). Fairly flat surface.
Recognition: Noted in 2001 excavation where it was cleaned and planned but not recorded.
Definition: Quite closely defined edges showing an irregular shape to the layer.
Execution: Recleaned with trowel and brush, and removed
Condition: Very hot, dry, sunny with some wind.
Consistency: Friable, quite badly dried out.
Colour: Very light grey/white
Texture: Clay
Bedding: Massive
Inclusions: None
Post-depositional Features: Been slightly nibbled by squirrels and ants. Some root activity.
Basal Boundary: Quite sharp as overlies room fill (7297) which is totally different colour, however (7709) quite well set into.
